Bloom Village Center Private Urban Garden began as a community dream created by Princess S. and built for families throughout Detroit. The vision was simple — create a safe, beautiful, and welcoming space where children can play, neighbors can connect, and families can bloom together. What was once an open piece of land is becoming a place filled with hope, gardens, walking paths, community activities, and opportunities for wellness and unity. This park represents more than recreation — it represents love, healing, pride, and the power of a community coming together to build something meaningful for future generations.

Bloom Village Center Urban Garden is a privately managed, safe, welcoming, and family-centered outdoor space created for children, families, and the surrounding Detroit community.
Access to the Urban Garden requires prior approval, an approved reservation, or attendance at a scheduled program or event.

A Safe Place Where Families Bloom
Bloom Village Center Urban Garden is a privately managed space. Entry and use are permitted only with prior approval, an approved reservation, or during a scheduled program or event.
Posted hours do not constitute permission to enter or use the property.
🕒 URBAN GARDEN HOURS
Open Daily: 9:00 AM–8:00 PM
• All visits and activities require prior approval.
• No loitering after Urban Garden hours.
• All guests must leave before closing time.
• Hours may change for private programs, maintenance, or special events.
🚭 SMOKING & VAPING
• Smoking and vaping are prohibited throughout the Urban Garden.
• This includes cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, and electronic smoking devices.
• Please help us maintain a healthy, family-friendly environment.
🍷 ALCOHOL & DRUGS
• Alcohol, marijuana, and illegal substances are prohibited.
• Guests who appear impaired or disruptive will be required to leave.
🍔 GRILLING & COOKING
• Open-flame grilling and cooking require prior written approval.
• Approved community cookouts must remain within designated areas.
• Never dump charcoal, grease, or hot materials on the grass, walkways, or garden beds.
🧹 CLEANLINESS
• Place all trash and recyclable materials in designated containers.
• Guests must clean their area before leaving.
• Help keep the Urban Garden beautiful for the next family.
👧 CHILD SAFETY
• Children under 12 must remain under adult supervision.
• Parents and guardians are responsible for their children at all times.
• Rough play, fighting, bullying, and unsafe behavior are prohibited.
PLAY AREAS
• Use all equipment safely and respectfully.
• Do not hang or climb on nets, signs, gates, or fencing.
• Be considerate of nearby guests, garden beds, and picnic areas.
• Use of recreational equipment is at your own risk.
🌸 GARDEN & FLOWER BEDS
• Respect all plants, flowers, garden beds, tools, and shared spaces.
• Do not pick flowers, damage plants, or enter designated garden beds.
• Community planting and harvest days will be announced separately.
📚 LITTLE FREE LIBRARY
“Take a Book, Leave a Book.”
• Please keep books clean and return shared materials in good condition.
• Do not vandalize, damage, or leave trash around the library area.
🔊 NOISE & MUSIC
• Music must be family-friendly and kept at a respectful volume.
• Loudspeakers, DJs, amplified sound, and disruptive activities require prior approval.
🐶 PETS
• Friendly pets are permitted only with prior approval.
• Pets must remain leashed, supervised, and cleaned up after.
• Aggressive or disruptive animals are prohibited.
🚗 PARKING
• Street parking only.
• Do not block driveways, sidewalks, fire hydrants, gates, or neighboring properties.
• Please respect our neighbors and all posted parking regulations.
🚫 PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
The following are not permitted:
• Weapons
• Illegal activity
• Destruction, theft, or misuse of property
• Overnight camping
• Fireworks
• ATVs, dirt bikes, or unauthorized motorized vehicles
• Unauthorized vendors, parties, programs, or events
• Unauthorized selling, soliciting, or commercial activity
• Entry or use of the property without permission

Please treat the property, our neighbors, and one another with kindness, respect, and care.
Management reserves the right to deny entry or require anyone violating these guidelines to leave the property.
